A little something about the person behind the paintbrush:

After graduating with a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Yeshiva University and The Fashion Institute of Technology, Talya worked in an upscale DC gallery, for a New York based accessories designer and in various art schools as an art instructor. Currently, her line of Jewish greeting cards are nationally distributed by Jewishcard.com, and her cartoons for an advice column are published weekly in The Jewish Star, a Long Island based newspaper. In addition, Talya sells a series of watercolor prints portraying various tefilot and hebrew phrases. The current best sellers in this series are “Bedtime Shema” and “Good Morning Rooster.” Check them out and more on Talya’s Etsy Shop, T & Co. The “T” stands for Talya and the “Co.” represents her very supportive family that tirelessly cheer her on through all of her painting endeavors.

Most recently, Talya just completed her very first illustrated children’s book– look for it at your local bookstore, due out December 2011!

Talya lives in Silver Spring, MD with her husband Dave and 2 little guys, Azi and Rafi.
